Doug drew the short straw one day and we made
him the boss. With his experience in logging,
commercial fishing, the oilfields, dog mushing,
and building log cabins in the wilderness
in Alaska, it just seemed logical. Oh, and
he's been doing cool old cars very well for
a long time. Unlike some of the guys that
work here, and just like some others, Doug
has a crazy home life: he and the family moved
to St. Louis so the older kids, 18 and 16,
could pursue their musical careers. He has
a new son named James and a 3 year old named
Huck. He races a '72 'Vette in the SCCA performance
rally series, and rides a Ducati Monster to
work every day.
The
quality and craftsmanship of the work was more that I had expected. I had not
seen this kind of quality fit and finish on metal before. The paint was spectacular.
The whole project, as you can see, was first class. I look forward to my next

Doug's
suggestion that I consider new vs rebuilt carburetion was the right way to go.
This, along with a tune-up has the car back on the road again. I now feel that
anything that needs to be addressed on the car can be competently dealt with
